Each year I set a word for myself. It’s usually deep and makes an effort to challenge my daily life. This year I went for something a little different and wanted to share this word with you. I’ll also be creating a One Little Word album along with taking a class from Ali Edwards. This word will be the basis of that project.
If you didn’t already notice, I took Monday off to relax and spend time with family. It was so fun and much needed, but I’m happy to be back sharing tasty things with you!
When I first transitioned the focus of Noodoso, I asked what you would like to see here. One of the things mentioned was a look into my day (of food). A lovely reader named India was curious about what I eat in a day, and since I wonder that about other people all the time, I thought there may be other people that would be interested in seeing a post on it!
It’s Friday, FINALLY! Did this week feel extremely long for you as well, or was that just me? I have absolutely no plans for the weekend and that makes me the happiest. I can’t wait to relax all weekend, probably watch HP, and do some scrapbooking. YES PLEASE!
Recently I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with Instagram. The pressure to create a perfectly curated feed is strong, and it’s no secret that bloggers often feel this pressure even more. The past couple weeks I felt as though I didn’t even want to go to my main Instagram account (yes, I have multiple – the others are here and here) because I was so stressed about it.
It seems silly to be that stressed over social media, but when the success of something you work toward every day is on the line, you take it very seriously. I know I’m not the first or only person feeling this way, so I figured I would at least be the one to share about it.
These days, people buy followers on Instagram and have a massive following over night. I’ve never wanted to be one of those people. I refuse to grow my following any other way than organically. People like myself, that want to work for their followers experience this pressure even more.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you may remember my Thursday Thoughts posts. If you’ve really been here for some time, you may even remember my Weekly Roundup posts (super long time ago). For a while there, I didn’t really find myself coming across things that I was so excited about, I felt the need to share them. Recently though, that feeling has come back. At the end of the week I have found so many cool items and fun blog posts, recipes and articles, that I just want to pass them along. So, I’ve decided to bring this series of posts back in the form of Weekend Links!
