Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Review

For the past two months I have given up using makeup wipes (shocking, right?!) and have been using the Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm. My mom has been telling me for years that I need to make the switch, but as many of you may know I have a minor obsession with makeup wipes. However, after using this for a while I think I just might be ready to say goodbye to my wipes… forever!!

I was so skeptical when I first started using this, but I have seen noticeable changes in my skin already! Not only is my skin softer and smoother, but I have had fewer issues with my face breaking out. Also, many makeup wipes contain alcohol which makes my skin feel tight and as though there is a film over my face (gross.).

I took picture after picture trying to get one that showed enough detail that you might be able to see the texture of this stuff. If you ask me, this doesn’t do too bad of a job. This is a sold formula that turns soft with the heat of your hands. Simply take a tiny amount (a little goes a long way) and rub in circular motions all over your face. This causes the product to turn to an oil and remove your makeup. I love that after rinsing my face my skin does not have oily residue or feel extra oily (which would be a disaster for my already oily skin!).The Clinique Take Off The Day Cleansing Balm can be purchased online on the Clinique website.

Which do you prefer, makeup wipes or cleansing balm? What is your favorite cleansing balm?

  • I’ve been wanting to try this as it’s a cheaper alternative to my beloved Emma Hardie cleansing balm. If you want to splurge I highly suggest you give it a try!
