The other day I arrived home to a big box of goodies from the Erin Condren team! So, I’m back with another Erin Condren Life Planner Review and a look at a few new releases! And get this – Life Planners are 50% OFF right now!!! Plus, at the end of this post is a link for $10 off your purchase, so you can basically get a Life Planner for $15! WHAT?! That’s craziness! Even I’m tempted to pick a couple up, and I need another planner like I need a hole in the head (as my mom would say). HA!
Included in the box of goodies was the hourly Life Planner, adhesive pockets, pens, a secondary cover set, and the new coloring book with pencils. Here’s a little look at each of them:
The alphabet cover is actually the one that came on the planner, but I was so excited about this pretty floral cover that I swapped them out before taking photos. Again, this is the hourly Life Planner with the alphabet cover in avocado (that’s the name of that pretty green color of the ‘S’).
The first thing I noticed about the hourly version was how much softer the colors are. For some people, that may be a negative change, but it couldn’t get more positive than softer colors for me! One of my biggest issues with the LP is the color scheme, and how bright and crazy the colors are. So, needless to say I SO excited to see softer colors!!
I also love that the time spaces for each day are printed so small that if you had a day without appointments, you could easily cover the time with a circle or square sticker and create a daily to-do list! That’s actually what I’ve been doing on days that are a little slower in the appointment area. It’s worked great! For a look at the specifications of the 2016 Life Planner, take a look at my 2016 Erin Condren Life Planner review.
I was also excited to see the new EC pens in the box! To be completely honest, I’m a total pen snob. I’m one of those people that brings a pen with me in my purse everywhere I go in case I need to write something – I’ll have the pen I like. I use a very specific pen, I’ve used them since I was in college, and I buy them in bulk on Amazon. Having said that, I was worried that I wouldn’t have anything good to say about these pens. I was wrong – I love the colors! That purple is SO pretty, although I might be biased since purple is my favorite color. Oops!
I also love the case that they come in! Having all those colors in a handy case to throw in your purse, work bag, backpack, etc. is so nice and keeps them in order for any planning you may want to do throughout the day. Talk about handy! I’m a color coder, so I love that aspect! I also like knowing that if the pens leak, they are in a nice little plastic case and won’t destroy the inside of my bag. Now, these pens write nicely. They’re gel (my favorite!) and are fairly smooth after working the ink down in the initial use. My only problems with these pens are that I prefer have a click top so I don’t have to fuss with a cap, and that they’re closer to a .5 or .7 tip. I only use .3 and smaller. Since those things are totally personal preference, and I know most people use .5 or .7 (or just don’t care), I totally would recommend these!
These sticky storage pockets have to be one of the best ideas! I’ve always wished the LP had more than just the double sided pocket in the back of the planner, and with these, I can easily add storage pockets wherever I need them! I’m also loving all over the larger storage pockets and can’t wait for them to come out with a set in a more neutral or soft color palette!
The last couple items in the box were the new coloring set that just released last week! The coloring book is filled with fun images and text quotes to color in, and the colored pencils come in the cutest metal case! I really like that the book is is small enough (and light enough) to stick in my bag for travel, and the nice metal case makes it easy to keep track of the pencils without worrying about the lead breaking or getting on things inside my bag!
I’ve been using Erin Condren products for years now and the thing that keeps me hooked is how much they listen to their customers about things they would like to see, changes to current products that would be helpful, and little extras that would make using their products even more enjoyable! I was excited (and very grateful) to receive these fun new items to share with y’all and try out for myself! Now head over to the EC site and pick some goodies up for yourself (like a Life Planner for 50% OFF!!). Don’t forget to use this link for $10 off your first purchase!
